Si è laureato nel 1970 in Economia e Commercio. Da oltre cinquant’anni è impegnato in un’azione di volontariato culturale. Si è occupato di archeologia, tradizioni popolari e storia del territorio. In tale ambito ha pubblicato oltre cinquanta lavori caratterizzati dall’originale approccio interdisciplinare. Suoi Maestri sono stati il prof. Aldo G. Segre ed il naturalista Adolfo Berdar. Presidente dell’Associazione Amici del Museo di Messina, consulente dell’Istituto Italiano dei Castelli Sicilia, Vicepresidente della Fondazione Patrimonio UNESCO Sicilia ed è componente del Consiglio Regionale dei Beni Culturali.
